Why hold and OPEN HOUSE ?
As a seller you may argue that any interested parties would view anyway and that most visitors will be nosey neighbours therefore what is the benefit?
As well as getting buyers through the door (a necessity in the selling process) you should never underestimate the power of word of mouth. Following a viewing a property will be discussed in wider circles thus increasing the market exposure. In addition, not every buyer is actively looking and as such may take the opportunity to view an open house. An appeaing house in a popular location could thus sell itself.
