Stevenage local area information

For those of you who don’t know, when Stevenage was designed it was with leisure at its heart with numerous facilities for local people to enjoy, from the theatre, swimming pool, Fairland Valley Park which extends to around 120 Acres of parkland and water ways and the constantly evolving leisure and retail parks.

If you are thinking of buying a house in Stevenage, there are always nice properties for sale in Stevenage for first time buyers as growing families upsize to larger family homes on the northern edge of the town in the Great Ashby, Chells Manor and surrounding areas which are ideally placed for local primary and secondary schools.

There are good transport links to the wider world, being next to the A1 helps if you drive. If you are a commuter into London, the mainline station has regular services (7-8 at peak times) running into Kings Cross in an average of 20 minutes.
